Dr, Venters is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Nevada and the founder of Hopsage Psychological Services.  He attended an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited doctoral program in Arizona and an APA accredited internship at the Chicago School Community Internship Consortium.  He also completed a Post Doctoral Fellowship at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

Dr. Venters provides individual, couples, family, and group therapy for ages 12 and up.  He has special interests in providing couples therapy as well as in working with individuals on the teenage to early adult life transition.

Dr. Venters has provided psychological services to a diverse group of people across the lifespan.  He has worked in a variety of settings such as an integrated care community mental health center, a special education school, a neuropsychological assessment practice, a private therapy practice, and a state hospital.

Mission Statement

Dr. Venters is a caring and empathic psychologist with a passion for helping others reach their personal and therapeutic goals through the collaborative process of therapy.  He integrates a variety of evidenced-based therapeutic techniques such as Emotionally-Focused Theory, Humanistic/Existential Theory, and Psychodynamic Theory as well as a respect and appreciation for cultural values to assist each person, couple, and family to reach their unique goals during the therapeutic journey.

More about Dr. Venters

He met his wife while attending Elko High School.  They enjoy hiking, traveling, playing music together, cooking together, and they are huge Chicago Cubs fans.  Dr. Venters and his wife have lived in many places throughout the United States and have enjoyed learning about and becoming a part of many of the wonderful cultural experiences throughout the U.S.  They are excited to be living in and exploring Nevada again.  They also enjoy spending time with family and friends as well as spoiling their Golden Retrievers and cats.
