The DesertUSA  website described the Hopsage plant as, "Especially good for stabilizing or restoring disturbed or degraded areas."  The website further discussed how the Hopsage plant was valuable to its ecosystem.

We named our psychology practice Hopsage Psychological Services because the Hopsage plant is an excellent metaphor for therapy and other clinical psychology services.  Therapy can provide stabilization and restoration in many areas of a person's life.  As humans, we are all a valuable part of our ecosystem, and psychological services can assist a person in realizing her or his worth.
